future death toll

When did they redesign? I don’t know, but I like Future Death Toll’s website right now. The amber screen and command line interface will make old computer hounds wistful and make those who grew up with the World Wide Web disoriented in what will probably end up being a good way. Fun.

The three-man performance group, who moved to Portland last year from points east, will be at Valentine’s tonight as part of Through the Lens.

Art Spark on the Roof!

Thursday, July 16th, 2009

I like Art Spark. Like the chance to catch up with artists, art workers, writers, culture lovers, etceteras. But Art Spark on the roof of the Hotel DeLuxe (729 SW 15th) with Northwest Film Center as the guest of honor? It’s going to be a hot one. Andy Blubaugh, filmmaker and instructor will set up and film a short scene with Art Sparkers as cast and crew. (Check out Andy’s blog for his new feature film The Adults in the Room.) Art Spark is from 5-7 PM, but we’re invited to stick around afterward for the kick off of NWFC’s Top Down film screening series with the Marx Bros. Duck Soup at 7 PM for free. We’re told that the no host bar is cash only tonight.

Slivers of Artforum, Paige Saez

We may quibble with the title of the inaugural exhibition at galleryHomeland’s new space in the Ford Building (2502 SE 11th) , but we still highly recommend stopping in this evening, Friday, December 14th for the launch of the show from 6-9 PM

A NW Thang (that’s the name of the exhibition) is a group exhibition featuring Northwestern artists including Marc Dombrosky, Saya Moriyasu, Patrick Rock, Paige Saez, Cynthia Star and Jason Wood. We love Paige Saez.
