Opening Friday at Golden Rule Gallery is a group show in the form of a makeshift bedroom where audience members are invited sign up to stay a night and document their dreams to contribute content for the multimedia stop animation work by Alexis Powell. They will also, as usual, have a collection of clothing and furniture for sale chosen to correspond with the work being shown.

Whether directly appropriating a remembered item or reversing mimicry through destruction and recreation, Kennedy acknowledges her nostalgic tendencies in tangible pieces that visually belie such hazy origins.
