Publication Studio

Tonight, Publication Studio (717 SW Ankeny), celebrates the opening of their new storefront/studio on the Ankeny alley next to the Tugboat and ’round the corner from Mary’s from 6-10 PM with music by Lisa Schonberg (ex-Explode Into Colors) on drums and Jonathan Sielaff on bass clarinet.

It’s also the launch for the first issue of Publication Studio’s literary journal, WEEKDAY, edited by Patricia No, Alex Felton, and Brett Heiney. Contributors to issue 1 include Charles Boardman; Christine Hou; Jae Choi; Geoffrey Sanborn; Charles Bernstein; Jon Raymond + Todd Haynes; Arnold Kemp; Molly Young; Laura Jaramillo; Robert Kelly; Theodore Wheeler; Patrick Tesh; Mackenzie Courtney; Thomas Shepherd; Luc Sante; Jenny Hendrix; and Alex Felton.
