When we heard “color trend presentation presented by Benjamin Moore,” we were interested, but not screamingly so. But last night’s presentation by Doty Horn Director of Color and Design for Benjamin Moore, was a major, overarching trend talk focusing on interiors but with far-reaching implications. It was fast-paced, overwhelming, a little loosey, but in the end, riveting. She travels to fashion runways in Paris and Milan, the Euro Cucina show, New York Design Week, ICFF, Zona Tortona, the Tent London, the IMM Show in Cologne to bring back information about what’s new and what’s next, then she boils it all down to three major trends (with a zillion little tentacles a piece). Read all about it at Portland Spaces’ design blog Design District. Oh, and you’ll be getting the info first! Portland was Horn’s first stop on a nationwide tour.
