This Just In: Fashion Show

Portland-based fashion designer Gretchen Jones (Moth Love) is spearheading a multi-designer fashion show at the Someday Lounge (125 NW 5th)  during Portland Fashion Week. The show will feature work by Jones, Emily Katz, Emily Baker of sword + fern, Dust by Julia Blackburn, and Reif by Lindsay Reif. Jones and Katz have each taken a season off, and are roaring back with collections of unique, modern basics. P.S.: go see Emily Katz’ watercolors at sword + fern (811 E Burnside). According to Jones, they’re planning on building out a runway at Someday and that the event will feature both DJs and live bands, but the most interesting bit is that artist Heather Baldwin (who also incidentally, is a killer makeup artist) is doing projections intermixed with (on models?) the runway show. October 10 at Someday Lounge with doors at 9 and show at 10 PM. Fortunately, it’s scheduled in such a way that we can have our cake and eat it too, heading to PFW and then to Someday.
