For the DIYer looking to expand her palette of possible projects and refurbish some old jeans in the process, head out to meet the author of Denim Revolution, Saturday, August 23 from 1-3 PM at Hawthorne Buffalo Exchange (1420 SE 37th)
A Portland native now living in Belgium, Nancy Minsky , author of Denim Revolution, will be at the Hawthorne Buffalo Exchange demonstrating how you can give your old worn out jeans new life (pouf skirt, tuxedo shirt (!?), shortie-shorts). Minski promises demo projects to re-make old jeans (bring some of your own along), “sew and fashion chat,” and window displays from the book projects.
Students who bring in their current student IDs will receive $5 off of their purchase of $20 or more. Nancy will be signing copies of her book Denim Revolution, which will be available for purchase at Buffalo Exchange for $19.95 while supplies last.
