One absolutely cannot go wrong looking to Isamu Noguchi for inspiration as far as we’re concerned. So it is that we look forward in anticipation to the inaugural collection of Portland fashion designer May Tee. She’s calling her Fall 08 collection (inspired by Noguchi), Soft Sculptures, a minimalist exploration of volume and line through the well-placed pleat, dart, seam.
The Malaysian-born, Parsons-educated designer (who’s done time in the high tech wilds) presents her Fall 08 collection at a trunk show at Mario’s (833 SW Broadway) this Saturday, April 19 from 10-5.
