church & state’s website is now live (what are you waiting for? stop reading and click!) with gorgeous photos of their Spring 08 collection entitled “just for decoration” modeled by the Chromatics’ extraordinary songstress, Ruth Radelet.
church & state’s Nathaniel Crissman and RachelĀ Turk took some time-out recently to regroup and take the Big Leap to the standard fashion buying calendar, a growing trend among independent Portland designers that clears the way for healthy growth. Their Spring collection is just what you’d expect from the duo: impeccable construction, a sense of the classic and a certain innnocence as well as signature details like fabric covered buttons and piping.
From the website: “if church & state were a day of the week, it would be sunday. if it were a baked good, it would be a homemade pie. if it were a liquor, if would be bourbon. and if church & state were a friend, it would be the best one.”
