Tumble

If you missed seeing the sculptural happening “Tumbleweed” by Portland-based artists Ben Stagl and Grace Luebke during Gallery Homeland’s Scratching the Surface festival this past August, here’s a little window into how beautiful it was to see this tumbling aggregation blown by the wind and catching a spectrum’s worth of evening light on the Willamette River. James Allen, Karl Lind, and Eric Vecchi filmed “Tumbleweed” by Portland-based artists Ben Stagl and Grace Luebke. This preview of the upcoming Scratching the Surface documentary features music by Joanna Newsom.

I didn’t know they were making a documentary on STS. Where will we be able to see it? Tumbleweed was so god, better that any of PICA’s public art events last year.
