AirMail: Manila envelope laptop sleeve

First out of the gate in accessories and whatnot for Apple’s new MacBook Air introduced three short days ago comes straight outta Portland from quickdraw Jona Bechtolt and Claire L. Evans.

The thinnest notebook ever was introduced a mere three days ago, and the AirMail “manila envelope” laptop sleeve Bechtolt and Evans designed—playing off the claim that the MacBook Air is so thin it could fit in a … manila envelope—is already ready for pre-order (29.95) on the AirMail website! The vinyl sleeve is lined in fleece and closes with that perfect institutional string-wrap closure (love a good detail).

Becholt is webdesigner, rockstar (YACHT), and part of the trio behind UrbanHonking. Evans is, as she says, “an unqualified science writer” and freelance journalist whose Universe blog on UrHo is very cool (and any friend of Buckminster Fuller’s is a friend of ours). And for today, they are the hottest product designers in the Mac-i-verse.
