It’s been 34 years now that the NW Film Center has done an annual festival shining the spotlight on film and video made in the Great Northwest. It’s so good that this year’s theme is “Dedicated to the Dedicated,” honoring not only the final products, as the festival has always done, but the makers and blood, sweat, and tears behind every minute of film.
Tonight, Friday, November 9, is the opening night of the Northwest Film & Video Festival. Things kick off at 7 PM with the first Shorts Program at the Whitsell Auditorium in the Portland Art Museum ($7 General Admission). After the screening the opening night party goes down at 9 PM at The Cleaners at the Ace Hotel with DJs Linger & Quiet (Genevieve Dellinger and Matthew Quiet). Admission to the party is $5 or FREE if you attend the screening and bring your ticket stub. (Thrifty!)
