DOTMOV

Advanced Beauty

If you were in Japan at the moment, we’d be sending you to screenings of DOTMOV, Shift Magazine’s digital film festival.

All month, Shift has scheduled events and screenings in Sapporo, Osaka, Sendai, and Tokyo of the 26 works selected from more than 297 entries from 34 countries by guest judges like Fork, The Designers Republic, Sugarcube, and Yoshi Sodeoka.

Lucky for you, all of the selected works are also on the website from the captivating narrative of Herzog and the Monsters by Leseley Barnes (UK) whose execution and story fold in on themselves like croissant dough (with influences ranging from Gorey to Sendak to Gilliam) to killer little experimental textdancesoundpoem, Text Field by Chirstinn Whyte & Jake Messenger (UK) and Yusuke Nakajima’s abstract meditation on water, Unconscious.

Check.
