Portland-based designer Margaret Cam isn’t showing at Portland Fashion Week. But we didn’t think that was any reason that you should have to wait to see this emerging designer’s colorblocked jersey dresses and the wool felt pieces that fall somewhere in the fertile ground between vest, harness, jumper, and…. Cam calls them “garment accessories,” meant to give the wearer more pieces than ever with which to shape an individual look. We call them a brilliant new category that requires further exploration. So our photographer Minh Tran collaborated with stylist Charlotte LaVictoire to create ON SITE with work from Margaret Cam’s latest collection in the wilds of industrial PDX.
