Crazy For Home
_pillow3.jpg)
Crazy idea, crazy name. For some time now, Mike Estes and Amy Rosko of Crazy Coconut have been silkscreening their high contrast photos (our favorites are of landmark buildings and bridges, especially those in Portland) onto t-shirts. On the cusp of the year, they expanded into wallpaper. And now, Crazy Coconut has refocused completely on the home. Same iconic, graphic imagery, new field of play.
They’ve expanded the wallpaper line (the repeating Space Needles are very good) and have a line of throw pillows made of organic cotton or found fabric with stuffing made of recycled soda bottles. Maybe it just shows what fools we are for PDX, but the Hawthorne Bridge tower is coming home with ultra.

Great site. I found it looking for the Labor Day Weekend Sidewalk sales…I did the Art in the Pearl yesterday and am now looking for those great bargains I got last year.
Please always incluede the addresses of the shops your writing about–we like to know where to go — and hot links where possible.
Thanks.
Hi Marty,
Glad you found us. Under normal circumstances (and you’ll find this if you dig back through ultra archives) we link AND provide addresses. Good that you find this info useful. Once we vanquish the demons in the machines we use to produce ultra, we’ll be back to our regularly scheduled programming.
