Saturday marks the grand opening celebration of the northwest Portland outpost of Sameunderneath (806 NW 23rd). We were checking out some of the pieces from the Fall 07 collection today. Absolutely worth a look (and why not do it in the festive atmosphere of a grand opening party that lasts all day?), many are the kinds of garments you’ll want to wear every day. For men, the zip-front cashmere cardigan is the most luxurious casual item you’ll ever own, AND you can have fun playing Mr. Rogers in it. For women, the cashmere hooded dress tops our list, although there are a couple of coats that are contenders as well. Go see.
