Greenloop Putting Down Roots in PDX

This may be a bit of a surprise to some, but for the last four years we’ve had one of the nation’s leading green retailers based in our own backyard: The Greenloop. While it’s recently graced the pages of Glamour and Town & Country, Greenloop may or may not have been on the average Portlander’s radar because the boutique has been nestled, if not off the grid, at least off the radar in the charming and distant neighborhood of West Linn.

Given that most of my friends rarely ever agree to bike (or drive) across the Willamette to pay me a visit, I know that the likelihood that they have ever been to West Linn is fairly slim. Aysia Wright, the owner of the fabulous eco-chic boutique, knew we all needed her a little closer in and as a result has decided to move the shop to Sellwood. This Friday, June 1, stop by her new location at 8005 SE 13th Avenue (in the Victorian, right next to Grand Central Bakery) to celebrate the official opening from 6-9 PM. Greenloop specializes in product lines that have demonstrated a commitment to sustainable practices, social responsibility, design, and function. The selection ranges from casual to cutting-edge clothing, accessories, and even organic body care products and cosmetics. Have a look at www.thegreenloop.com to get an idea of the all the great products Aysia has uncovered that are both style and eco-conscious.
