If a great lineup of Portland fashion designers including Rachel Mara, Jonny Shultz Designs, Leanimal, Wema, Sameunderneath, Makool, and Magali Corzo isn’t enough to get you to grab your tickets for STRUT, the fashion show at Wonder Ballroom benefiting Basic Rights Oregon, “Obsession” ought to do it. Not the Calvin Klein fragrance (boring except for the original Kate Moss ads, perhaps), but the 80s so-into-you anthem by Animotion!
Animotion’s Bill Wadhams will be STRUT entertainment. There’s some kind of interesting 80s revival Portland-centric backstory here where the two-album band was reanimated, if you will, at the urging of a Portland radio station, now playing gigs with sweet 80s bands like Bow Wow Wow.
