Coming up April 28th, it’s the second annual Catwalk, a benefit for Boost Foundation at Henry V (6360 NE MLK). This year, local designers Anna Cohen, Souchi, and Michelle DeCourcy will share the runway with Jantzen swimwear, and menswear from Gordon Schwartz’ Pearl District shop Finn.
Souchi, designed by Suzi Johnson is a line of all-season cashmere separates and dresses that range from cozy delicious to drop-dead sexy. Anna Cohen’s line of sustainably produced high-end streetwear (sweet little fitted jackets, lovely draped bamboo jersey tops, and rail-thin trousers) is getting a tremendous amount of press, in WWD, in the New York Times, as her line is a standard bearer for fierce style that just so happens to be created in an eco-friendly way. Michelle DeCourcy’s feminine dresses and separates in silk charmeuse florals are perennial crowd-pleasers.
Blush Beauty Bar and Sidlab Hair Couture will be on hand to make the models from Murphy Talent Group more lovely than they already are and DJ Mr. MuMu makes the sounds. The reception begins at 7:30 with a show at 9 PM.
Self Enhancement Inc. is the beneficiary of this year’s Catwalk. Tickets can be had at the Boost Foundation website.
