The Precipice Alliance is devoted to increasing awareness of global warming by funding large-scale public art projects. It’s first installation, a powerful debut, is “indestructable language” by Mary Ellen Carroll, 8- foot high illuminated letters spelling out : IT IS GREEN THINKS NATURE EVEN IN THE DARK in the windows of five former American Can factory buildings in Jersey City, New Jersey.
Tomorrow night, March 8, at 6:30 PM at the PICA Resource Room -(224 NW 13th), PICA and Reed’s Cooley Gallery are co-hosting a conversation with Donna Wingate, co-founder of The Precipice Alliance, about this project and the Alliance.
