Noted: Living Room Theaters

Living Room Theater

The good news is that Portland’s Living Room Theaters gets a shout out in the current GQ’s Spring Trend Reports. Nice when good things in Portland get notice elsewhere. The bad news is that it’s in a section called, “Captain Crunchy.” Why environmental responsibility is still shackled to the giant ball-and-chain of Birkenstocks (no kidding, they actually featured Birkenstocks as footwear for this trend report…Varvatos, Miu Miu, and Birkenstocks) is beyond us. Okay, but back to the good news: Living Room Theater is noted because as the first all-digital theater in America it can lay claim to helping to reduce “pollution-heavy celluloid manufacturing,” an additional benefit to enjoying a film at this gem of a theater.
