What Are You Lookin’ At?

Andy Holtin at Tilt

This First Thursday, in addition to seeing Matt McCormick’s work at Elizabeth Leach Gallery, we’re looking forward to seeing Andy Holtin’s show (above) at Tilt Gallery and Project Space (625 NW Everett, Suite 106). We’ll see Harvest Henderson’s text pieces, THISENFRANCHISEMENT at Stumptown Downtown (128 SW 3rd), Alchemy a visual and sound installation by Christine Wallers and Steve Peters at Portland Art Center ( 32 NW 5th) , and Hard(ly)Soft, a (non-student) group show at the Art Institute of Portland (1122 NW Davis) . Then perhaps a drink with the work of Trevor Gray (pictured below) at Vino Paradiso (417 NW 10th).

Farewell 3934

Farewell 3934

The Contemporary Craft Museum & Gallery closes its 3934 SW Corbett home of 70 years this month with a party featuring DJ Anjali & The Incredible Kid on March 17 at 9PM.  Parting. Sweet sorrow. And all of that, but the exciting news is that this is all a precursor to the institution’s Big Move to the North Park Blocks where they’ll re-open as the Museum of Contemporary Craft at 724 Northwest Davis Street on July 22, 2007.
