Culture Clash

This just in, Dave Allen DJ’s tonight for the opening of Ballet Supreme, Alicia Rose’s show of photographs from the OBT “Who’s Your Dancer” campaign. You’ll recall these photos all featured members of the OBT company outfitted by some of Portland’s best designers and captured in scenarios that are kind-of a high-def version of the real world, all color and drama, as only Rose could shoot them. It’s tonight from 8-12 PM at The Press Club (2621 SE Clinton).

Sundance Bound

2006 has been a very good year for Andy Blubaugh. He received what was once known as a Rockefeller Fellowship, now a Media Artists Fellowship, completed his short film Scaredycat which opened and closed the Northwest Film Fest, and now we hear that Scaredycat has been accepted for screening at Sundance! It’s his second film to go to Sundance.

More on the film here (and at the Scaredycat website) and more on Andy (his answers to the ultra Q) here.
