Savvy Portland retailers know how to gang up to group-promote. (Take that, Jets!) Now Foundation Garments’ Heidi Carlson and other likeminded NE Alberta retailers like Office, Mabel & Zora, Frock, Garnish (new! formerly Lilith), Ella’s, Donna & Toots, Imp, Ped X, Bolt, and Close Knit have banded together as BOA (Boutiques on Alberta), and tonight marks their first collaborative event. Fashion by Flashlight is a roving cocktail party with trunk shows, sales, and designer meet-and-greets that goes down tonight, Thursday, October 12 from 6-9 PM. Our fave PDX distillery, New Deal, is kicking in vodka for the cocktails. The eleven participating boutiques will be all lit up (possibly in more ways than one) tonight. Check.
