Too Much Is Almost Enough

more art and performance than you can shake a stick at tonight tonight

Brenden Clenaghen at Pulliam Deffenbaugh

Sure, bring it on. We’ll send our doppleganger to the shows we can’t make. This week and next are like a double fudge cream surprise with extra filling and whip cream on top. Kind of makes you feel buzzy and almost like you’re this close to not being quite right. That said, here are somethings you could do this evening and later tonight if there were at least three of you.

Aili Schmeltz’ solo show of work in “suburban” materials like shag carpet, vinyl, plastic, and Styrofoam opens at Tilt Gallery and Project Space (625 NW Everett Suite 106).

Brenden Clenaghen opens his solo exhibition, “Endless Parade” at Pulliam Deffenbaugh (929 NW Flanders).

See work by Chelsea Mosher and Portland Modern artist Philip Iosca show at Ogle Gallery (310 NW Broadway).

At Valentine’s a bi-coastal photography show Split Cities opens.

Nowhere, the gallery on the move, will be showing “Memento Mori” on Thursday afternoon and evening under the Hawthorne Bridge, on the Eastside. And later, Neighbormates is The Kelley and Jason Show (Kelley Bryant and Jason Eksuzian also Lightbox Studios) plus Hello! Video (Needmore Designs’ Raymond Brigleb and Kandace Nuckolls). See them tonight at Holocene (1001 SE Morrison) at 8 PM with Hello Damascus and Yes Father.

And at PICA’s The Works tonight, Small Sails!

Whew!
