Homeland After Dark

two of our favorite artists and instigators, their Gallery Homeland, and a Big Party

Gallery Homeland‘s “Scratching the Surface” promises to animate the shores of the mighty Willamette this summer with a festival of installation, performance, dance, music, lecture from a host of artists from Portland and beyond. Knowing co-directors Paul Middendorf and Paige Saez, we anticipate a stew of wonders by some of Portland’s finest.

As final fundraiser and launch for Scratching the Surface, Gallery Homeland’s throwing a party tonight with a preview of the project (an early look at some of the installations), food/drink, and music from The Coney Island Cartel, The Fabulous Saturdays, and DJ DrewGroove. It goes down at Gallery Homeland HQ (916 SE 34th), tonight June 17th from 8 PM to midnight. $5-10 sliding scale donation.
