In order to move beyond yet another rainy day on our way toward summer, we’re imagining ourselves as synchronized swimming movie goddess, Esther Williams. It just so happens that Duchess, Clothier (909 N Beech Street Studio A) has just received a shipment of Esther Williams swimwear so that you too can be glamorous in the pool or in the cabana. Never mind the water, where’s my pool boy?
In other Duchess news, Seyta let us know that this week Duchess Clothier joins forces wonder-twin style with that other N Mississippi hotspot, Memoir. Beginning Thursday, May 4, the two will become one “Enchanted Kingdom.” So now you’ll have to enter only one door to find Duchess’ fab vintage reproduction clothing (in real sizes) for ladies and gentlemen plus Memoir’s gifts, accessories, jewelry, and fine paper goods (Little Otsu, Blackbird Fashions, Snap! Creations, Holly Aiken, and more).
They’re doing a Grand Opening Bash during N Mississippi’s Second Thursday Music Walk beginning at 7pm on May 11. The ladies encourage fancy attire (which we support wholeheartedly).
